Ese Brume upgrades to World Silver medal, Ruth Usoro ends in 11th, in Oregon

Olympic bronze medallist Ese Brume leapt to a distance of 7.02 metres to secure the silver medal in the women’s Long Jump on the final day of competition at the World Athletics Championships Oregon22.

“I was leading and wanted the gold,” said Brume. “But I am grateful because last time I got the bronze, and I am silver now.”

Another Nigerian Ruth Usoro ended the competition in 11th place with 6.52 metres.
