AFN lists 95 athletes to represent Nigeria at Asaba 2018 – Africa Championships

Blessing Okagbare and Divine Oduduru will lead a 95-member Nigerian team for the 21st CAA African Senior Athletics Championships in Asaba, Delta State on 1-5 August.

South Africa won the last edition of the CAA Africa Senior Championships they hosted two years ago in Durban, with Kenya finishing second and Nigeria settling for third place.

Meanwhile, Okagbare and other members of Team Nigeria’s 4x200m quartet that won the gold medal at the 2015 IAAF World Relays in The Bahamas, will be inducted into the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Hall of Fame.

This accolade will be bestowed at the Welcome Dinner for athletes and officials participating at the 21st African Athletics Championships – Asaba 2018.

The event organised by the CAA and Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, is slated for 5pm on July 31st, 2018, at the Event Center, Asaba.
